Assessment model framework & architecture

In WP4 the Amitran methodology was developed.  This comprised a methodology for the evaluation of the effects of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) on CO2 emissions, including for scaling up. Additionally, a knowledge base with statistics needed for scaling up was developed.

The methodology is described in D4.1 (see link below), and formed a main input for the Amitran Knowledge Base and Checklist. The Amitran Checklist provides step-by-step guidance in performing an assessment of the impact of ITS on CO2 emissions. Following this guidance ensures a structured approach and comparability with other studies in this field.  

Deliverables

D 4.1 Requirements and design of the methodology (approved)

This deliverable describes the main outcomes of WP4:

  •        A methodology for the evaluation of the effects of ICT measures on CO2 emissions, including a methodology for scaling up
  •           The framework architecture for this methodology: steps, models, interfaces and simulation environments that are needed for the methodology
  •           The model requirements: what should the models in the framework architecture be able to do, what are their inputs and outputs

D4.2 Publicly available scaling up knowledge base

The knowledge base provides user guidance and access to the most relevant data sources of EU and country statistics by linking to existing databases.
